Both places deliver if your order is over a certain Euro amount. Argos is much more convenient, since it has many locations around town. You can shop online and they also print thick catalogues, which are available at each store. Before heading to the store to buy something, I recommend that you check if that particular item is in stock at that store. If not, you can order it to be shipped there and you can pick it up in a day or two. Argos has everything from watches to BBQ’s!
IKEA is a whole different animal. It is located near the airport, far on the North Side. You will need to take a bus, number 13 will take you there. No matter what you do, do not get a taxi from IKEA, or at least flag one outside the parking lot of IKEA. I once called a taxi, since I had a heavy box with me that I didn’t want to lug on the bus. The taxi picked me up at IKEA parking lot and then we spent 40 minutes trying to get out to the main road. Total cost was €45, while it would cost me €25 with no traffic.
